Simplest Method to Root HTC One X and HTC One X+ 

Step 1: First, you have to download “Root Kit” Link 1 and Link 2  from above link depending on your phone model and provider.

Step 2: Extract the downloaded “Root Kit” on your Computer’s desktop.

Step 3: In the extracted folder, you’ll find an “.exe” program then launch it.

Step 4: Switch off your phone and enter into bootloader mode by “pressing & holding Volume down + Power Button together“. From there, choose “Fastboot” to boot in Hboot menu.

Step 5: Connect your device to your Computer in the Bootloader mode itself.

Note: Make sure you have installed the USB drivers correctly. If you want “ADB drivers” then you can found in the root kit itself.

Step 6: From the open window, navigate to “Flash a Recovery” option and from there choose your desired recovery.

Step 7: Click on “Flash Recovery“.

Step 8: Wait for a few seconds and Once the process is completed, restart your device.

At this stage, CWM Recovery is successfully installed on your HTC One X or HTC One X+.
Step 9: Now, you have to copy “SuperSu for HTC One X and HTC One X+” from the root kit to your device.
Step 10: Switch off your phone and enter into bootloader mode by “pressing & holding Volume down + Power Button together“. From there, choose “Recovery” to boot in Hboot menu.
Step 11: Now, select “install zip from SD card” > choose “SuperSu file” from the memory > choose “YES” to give confirmation and wait for a few seconds.
